Rev Lisa Kerry

Lisa is married to Alan, a retired GP, and they have two adult daughters. She has a background in nursing, latterly interventional radiology, before training for Baptist ministry at Spurgeon’s College in London, where she also completed a Masters on “Celebrity Ministers”. Currently, Lisa is studying for a PhD in Practical Theology through Bristol Baptist College, focussing on exploring the role of professionalism and standardisation in Baptist Ministry formation.

In 2013 Lisa joined the ministry team at Croxley Green Baptist Church, Hertfordshire where she was responsible for a wide range of areas of church life. One key initiative was to set up, with an Anglican colleague a CIO, to employ two Parish Nurses. In 2021, Lisa was appointed Team Leader of the church.

Lisa has been involved in the network of Baptist churches in Hertfordshire, building links with local ministers. She has served the Central Baptist Association and the Baptist Union on committees for the recognition and accreditation of students and ministers and is part of "Project Violet", a recent initiative to enhance the profile of women ministers in the Baptist Union. She was part of the editorial team of “The Bible Speaks Today” Bible.

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

Welcome to the website of The Central Baptist Association. We look after about 150 Baptist churches across Northamptonshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire, including Milton Keynes.  If you are looking to find a specific church near you then please click here.

Who we are

We have a team of four Regional Ministers, led by Lisa Kerry, alongside Mary Moody, Nathan Toseland and Andrew Openshaw. Andrew is also the association secretary. Our moderator is Maureen Hider and our treasurer is Roy Farrant. Jane Day is the course tutor for The Learning Collective.

What we do

We support ministers and churches by 'walking together in ministry and mission'. This includes providing pastoral care for ministers, advice to churches, guiding the settlement process, encouraging churches in their mission, providing training opportunities, encouraging networking, talking ecumenically, and offering small grants.
